RazorBladeKisses - The band.

If you're sitting comfortably you're at another gig - Razorblade kisses open the door to classical childhood nightmares. Layla and Azadeh sing and are the dolls of the outfit. Jacqui the guitarist is a kind of energetic mad hatter, Andy plays the bass and dresses with a feminine touch (shall we say). There drummer Steve dresses his drums in zebra skins. As the UK's only Gothic Lolita band they mix up traditions of Japanese, Middle Eastern and Western music traditions in the universal language of childhood dreams.

Press Clippings

"RazorBladeKisses bring the whole room under their spell, giving the band their undivided attention. Baroque, moody tunes complement an often airy feel, and creating atmosphere is very much the order of the day."
Reviewed at The Verge, 6th July 2003

"I like the way they fuse guitar rock and tripped, spooky toybox goth with classical and Middle Eastern influences. Strongly reminiscent of midperiod Cranes to me"
Warren Ellis, January 2005

"Garnished with eeire, almost child like female vocals in unison and you have a much more mature sounding, more focussed band and most importantly RBK as they should be, finally realised and given a fresh burst of life. Finishing the set with the stunning 'Ballerina', they exit the stage to rapturous applause. Book this band now, as I see good things for them in the future."
Neophile Promotions, 24th October 2004

"The debut ep from UK band RazorBladeKisses is very beautiful and brilliant. The female vocals and harmony are superb with an ethereal feel that reminds me of the defunct girl duo band Switchblade Symphony."
Donovan Tate, ChainDLK. Jan 24th 2005

"Possibly the brightest hope on the UK scene just because they have such fun on the surface but such mystery in the depths. Goth and Pop, inextricably linked, and maddeningly exciting..."
